I have purchased an UOR Preferred pass, which gives me - 20% off CityWalk Party Pass™^ (up to four passes per day, Passholder and three guests). Will this allow me to buy party passes for my young adult children but not enter the Clubs myself, or will I have to go into each Club with them?
I am trying to decide whether to buy them Annual passes and if so which one. I think that they may visit the Clubs about 5/6 times during our visit after HHNs and I am sure that they won't want Mummy cramping their style (and I am far too old for Clubs!). The difference between the 14 day UK tickets and the 3 park APs are £18, £63, £97 and £278: only the preferred gives 20% off and the premier AP includes the Party pass.

Any young adults (or older party people) on here who have advice regarding the best AP for them?

Which hotel are you staying at? The on site hotels offer the perk of City Walk access. According to the official website: "Enjoy complimentary club-to-club access** to select Universal CityWalk™ venues for the length of stay. All guests need to do is show their room key to receive entry into the clubs."
I am not sure if this is different that the Party Pass?

Hard Rock. Thank you for this, I will check.

So the blurb on the HRH site says, ' Some venues require ages 21 or older and a cover charge for admission', so I am guessing that the Party Pass covers the 'cover charge for admission'.

Some of the venues have a small charge to enter in the evening due to live music entertainment

If you plan to hit a few of the places the party pass basically pays for itself

Unless things have changed since a few years ago, there is no cover charge til pretty late, maybe 10pm or something like that. If they don’t plan on staying late it won’t be an issue.
