AP Question about booking....

When we go over Labor day I am upgrading DD and I to an AP. It saves us money on our tickets since we are going again in November. But I wont have the AP in hand untill the end of August.

If AP rates come out in Mid-August can I book it without having the AP in hand? I assume not, that they would need my AP number to book an AP discounted room for November but I thought I would ask anyway.

I would guess you are correct, at that point you wont have the AP or even a voucher, so you couldnt get the AP rates. If you are going to get an AP< can you get it just before instead of waiting and upgrading? I think with a voucher or some 'proof' that you are going to be an AP holder they can do stuff? Not 100% sure on that though.

I would but since we are going for the "Free" dining I needed a park ticket to book that, so I am upgrading my "Free" dining ticket once we arrive. Bummer but I figured it would work this way.

I booked a room at the Pop with an annual pass discount and I was never asked for any number. I currently have the voucher that I will activate when we get there. So from my experience, I think you'll be fine!

you dont need the ap at time of booking but have to show it at checkin or they put you back at standard rate
