I currently have an AP...always do. But, my dd's runs out in mid-Aug. We are headed to WDW on Sept 4, then return (the two of us) in April, then a family trip, with cruise, in late Aug '09. So....we are doing POP with the free dining in Sept. We will get 3 of the one day, one park passes (one for each of us). Dh will use two of them in conjunction with two after 2:00 pm convention passes he has. My question....can we take the remaining one day one park pass, and head to guest services and put that pass toward dd's new AP, with the DVC discount?

So, that will bring the cost of the AP to about $300...correct? Just trying to figure out the best way to do this. Thanks.

I am also looking to find out if we can apply the one day remaining on our 10 day non expiry tickets to the purchase of an annual pass. Does anyone know how much the credit will be?

If it's more than 14 days from first use, you cannot apply it to another ticket.

I have a 7 day no expiration ticket that has not been used at all. Can this be exchanged towards an AP?

As long as it has not been used it can be applied towards the purchase of another type of ticket. I did this last September and again in April of this year.

As PP said if it has been used it must be traded in within 14 days of original use no matter what type of ticket it is to get credit towards another ticket and the date for expiration of an AP will be the date the original ticket was used. The value of one day on a ten day ticket is very small with the way the prices are set up these days. If you turn in a ticket within the 14 day period I think they just apply the entire amount you paid and that is why it gets dated back to the original date.

Even if there is no expiration on the ticket?

Yes. The difference between a 9 day and 10 day is very little anyway.

"Guests are able to upgrade or modify their MYW tickets any time within 14 days of first use, regardless of whether the No Expiration Option is purchased. After 14 days no ticket modifications or upgrades may take place."

I agree, the difference is so small, it's better to save it and use it later.

I am one who has applied the one day ticket to my DVC AP and it's never been a problem. Those one day tickets are worth alot of $$ (generally around $70). They don't expire, so OP please use them for more than park entry. I held on to one of ours for 18 months before "cashing" it in. You need to take the one day ticket, your ID, DVC card, and cc to guest relations and they will help you out. We have done it several times, but my tip is, try to do it at a guest relations that you are face to face with (either DtD or inside a park (we always renew so are always inside)). I hate doing a complicated transactions through a window. Maybe that's just me.
