I know about food and room discounts and such but am wondering if there are any other lounges like at Epcot? Is there a special entrance/bag check at all 4 parks? Any other unusual ones?

My favorite non food or room perk is free parking. That's a big savings.

The merchandise discount has expanded quite a bit; it used to be mostly the World of Disney at the Marketplace, but now most in-park purchases are discounted as well (also online). There is currently an AP entrance at all four parks, which is nice when its busy. But as PP said, the big one for me is parking, since I usually have a car.

There are tons of other small discounts that may or may not help most people. Things like boat rentals, golf, spa services, rental cars etc. Discounts range from 10-20% on these sorts of items.

I think you also save a little on movie tickets at the AMC DS.

Backstage tours and many special events are also discounted.

No Lounges and Epcot's is only during F&W.
AP entrance at ticket scanners to parks.
No AP Security but I would love to see that happen.

Some MISC: Early registration for RunDisney, Discount on the Amphicars at Disney Springs, Discount Water Park tickets, Tables in Wonderland option, random specials like right now 40% off Wonderland Tea Party, Discount on Best Friends Pet Care ....

Think it through .... no discount at soda/ice cream kiosks but if you go in a merchandise location like in Storybook that sells all the sodas etc ... you do get the AP discount there. All adds up.

Also a question. If a family member who has a regular hopper sees something they want to buy and it's available to wifey and I as AP holders at discount can I present the card but pay with their credit card?

This alone made it worth it for us. We were always paying for Memory Maker and with us making multiple trips this year, we'll come out a bit ahead even without the discounts.

We upgraded UT 8 day hoppers our first day there and as soon as we exited Guest Relations our Magic Bands worked when we were photographed.

I think technically the answer is no. I (the AP holder) had one CM somewhat hesitate when my MIL handed him her card, but he didn't say anything. (I think it's because he was flirting with her!!! It wasn't anything inappropriate - kinda cute!) But, when we went to buy some Pandora charms, the CM specifically said that I had to pay for it.

I've never had an issue doing this. You can always just have the CC in your hand before you get to the register. Better still, have your family member buy a gift card & bring that along.

Gift card is a great idea! My MIL just wrote us a check at the end of the trip.

No, and shortly thereafter every photo I and my Friends & Family took from the last 9 months popped up on my account.

just to clarify as this is a little misleading.. anyone no matter what type of ticket can use photopass.. but the AP holder can download the photos for no extra charge even if their friends and family who took the photo doesn't have an AP.

This. We did an Oct trip with BIL/SIL as 'Friends' and I downloaded the pics and sent them copies. The next May they took their kids and I grabbed their pics for them again. This Nov the two of us will have APs and 9 children and grandkids on F&F so we'll have a lot to download.

Technically, no. But, as with many things at WDW, it depends on the CM.
