AP payment plan.....

I saw that they opened up the payment plan to all of CA residents on the disneyland site that allows you to put a downpayment and then pay monthly on ap's.

My question is, does anyone know if they are usable right away or only when it is paid off completely and does the "ap year" start on the first time you go (not when you pay)?

You can use you AP pass immediately you don't have to wait until it is paid off. You'll have to print out a temporary pass and the first time you go to exchange this pass for your AP card is the start of your year.

Wow, that is really cool that they have that now. Makes it more affordable. I wonder how they would keep people from getting the ap and using it a bunch and then not finishing the payment plan (cancelling their cc). Most people prob. would'nt do that I guess? That is great to hear--thanks!

The legally binding contract that you agree to when you purchase an AP with the payment plan is how they keep people from doing what you hypothesized. And yeah, a lot of people probably would, sadly. Thus, the legally binding contract.

Plus, if you miss a payment, they have the ability to void your AP.
