While taking the undiscovered future world tour last week at Epcot, we were walking through the sponser lounge at the Living Seas. The CM mentioned that there are plans in the works to have the AP lounges again this July/August. You can take it for what its worth since "plans" have a tendency to change.

BTW, the Livings Seas Lounge is impressive. Huge. Multiple floors. That day, the "ballroom" was set up for about a 150 person wedding reception. I've never been to any others, but the CM said, in her opinion, this lounge was the best at Epcot.

I'd like to see them have at least one lounge again this year. It's a nice perk and a great place to get out of the heat and relax a few mins before heading out again. Humm it will be interesting to see what they do.

We can only hope! It was so wonderful to be able to get out of the heat and relax in the park during the hottest part of the day.

What exactly do they have in the lounges?
Also, what if 2 families are traveling together and 1 family has APS and 1 doesnt? Can only 1 family go in?

The lounge in The Land last year was a corprate lounge (Nestle I believe) and there were three rooms with couches. The biggest benefit was getting out of the crowds and heat for a while. Since this lounge was over the Garden Grill Mickey, Chip and Dale would pop up and spend a little time with the kids. One day Chip and Dale were coloring and playing with my two kids and another two kids for quite a while. They had a blast.

Last year my DH and I went to the lounge at the Land. We both have AP's, but DS does not. We were allowed a guest, so he got to come in with us. I really enjoyed it. There were refreshments and 3-4 separate rooms with seating areas in them and a nice view from one of them. It was so peaceful and cool up there. I reminded me of being at home in my own living room almost. Relaxing. Several couches to spread out on. The AP lounge at AK was quite a bit different. We also received special seating tickets for a show in the American Adventure pavilion, I can't remember right now what it was called, but it was cancelled due to the typical July thunderstorm.

Anyway, you may each be able to bring a guest. We were able to bring one.

No lounges in December?

Not normally. It is almost always the summer months, last year it lasted into Sept.

Oh I hope so!!! I loved the AP lounge at The Land it was so nice to get out of the heat for a little while.

The GM lounge in Test Track is AWESOME! We got to go into some of the lounges on my daughter's Make-A-Wish trip (she is a brain cancer survivor). Huge area up there, tons of food and the people were so nice. And a great view of the whole loading area from above. One of the highlights of the whole trip for me!

The Exxon(?) one at Ellen's Energy Adventure was nice too, but much smaller. You would never know these places even existed.

How do you find out if the lounges are available? We are getting our first APs this year and I for one am very intrigued by the idea of getting some time away from the heat and crowds...

Any idea when they announce them? I am getting excited leaving in 4+ weeks!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks
Sandy

If I have an AP and the rest of my party does not, can I bring in one guest? or all of them? or none of them? or do you think it will depend on the CM and how busy it is?

No Sandy, I sure don't. Keep checking Deb's site or here (trust me, when it is annouced it will be here). I usually learn about them via my newsletter from the annual passport people, which is something you get when your pass is activated.

It depends on the CM. It is a passholder perq, if it is abused it will be stopped. We had 3 guests with us and they had no problem with it, we asked first, however. It was also in early Sept. and was not wicked crowded.

I think it does depend on the CM weather everyone in your party needs an AP. At Epcot I went in with my 2 children and the CM insisted on seeing all 3, at AK the CM could have cared less if she saw them at all.

Are the lounges closed now? We are going at the end of July and loved the one in The Land last year.
