AP lines at theme parks - question

People with very dry skin often have trouble with finger scanners. Global Entry tips suggest using a wet wipe before scanning.

Lines might be shorter if they only accepted APs and the sign indicated that clearly. We came across MANY people having no idea what they were doing while trying to scan through the AP line. Most of the time, we didn't bother with that line. Not much of a "perk" if handled this way, honestly.
