I was looking at some pics on one of the threads and noticed what looked to be lanyards with a pouch for your AP. Is that what they were and where do you get those? I don't remember seeing those years ago when we had our APs before but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

I think those are just the reg. lanyards you buy that some put pins on. I don't know if they come with the plastic pouches or if you have to buy them extra. I don't like things hanging on my neck more than I need to so I'd rather use my small "Disneyland purse". I saw them in the stores at Disneyland and also some travel companies gave them out to those who booked with them.

Yeah, I figured they were just the pin lanyards but I wasn't sure if the pouch came with it or if that was a separate item.

We have horizontally aligned pouches that we keep our APs and FPs in. Though if we don't renew, the next time we go we'll have our hoppers in there, then after we upgrade our APs. :)

Anyway, mine has Tinkerbell on it, and hubby's has a pirate skull and crossbones on it. They were 4 or 5 bucks each, separately purchased from the lanyards (which were 5ish or maybe 7ish?).

We happened to buy them at Le Bat en Rouge, I think (small shop in NOS), but they were all over.

Thanks for the info. It seems like one of those things that you would think you would see everywhere but are hard to find once you start looking.

If you book your trip through WDTC, AAA, Costco, or Getaway Today, they include a lanyard, pin and pouch for each person in your party. We booked through WDTC and the lanyards themselves are nice, but the pouches are kind of flimsy, so we ended up replacing them with the ones bumbershoot mentioned. :thumbsup2

The pouches that Molly described are available at all the pin stores. They have different designs on them, mine has Tink, DBF's has Mickey. They are cute but the sliders broke on ours. :( The ones that come free from WDTC, AAA or Costco will work fine but ours from WDTC weren't very sturdy, they ripped on our first trip, when we upgraded our hoppers to AP's. And the lanyards, those were so uncomfortable that I can't even use it, it rubs my neck raw and hurts so bad.

Pixie, my slider came off thanks to hubby trying to get something out of it, but I was able to put it back on, whew! And I *think* they'll replace it if your slider breaks, but I'm not sure.

I hate those pouches you get with the travel packages!

What I keep trying to get hubby to do is to go to his security office at his work and snag a couple of their zip-type badge holders. Lovely thick, soft plastic, reinforced holes for the lanyards at work. Beautiful things. I remember I had two of 'em when I worked for a former division of Washington Mutual, walking money and documents to various offices in Seattle. Those things never ripped!

We only live an hour from DL so we wouldn't be booking a trip, just getting APs when we get a chance to head over there and get them. I'll have to keep my eye out for them when we go and hopefully find one I like.

That happened to us, too. In fact My DD14 :scared1: because here WDTC pouch tore off while riding BTMR. She didn't notice until she had walked over to the castle. The reason she freaked out was because we had just upgraded to AP's that morning, and hers was in the pouch. Thankfully, someone found it on the ride and the CM's had it in the control booth. :woohoo:

Molly, I didn't know they would replace them!!! That's how mine broke, I was trying to get our passes out for DBF so he could make a FP run and he was hurrying me....so I slid it too far and it went right off the end!! Currently DD12 is using it for her bus pass, she never has to open it so it works. :)

YIKES!! I'm so glad you got your AP back!! I was so stressed over that happening that I always carried my AP and my girls' AP's too. lol

Try the Emporium and / or The Little Green Men Store. :goodvibes
