Universal tweaked their pricing recently to include reg tickets offering their new WP as a 3rd park starting this summer. As the norm, when one raises prices the other tends to follow suit.
For once I was planning on actually renewing my WDW AP vs buying a voucher and letting months ago before I start it up.
What is procedure for renewals? Can I purchase a voucher from DVC & sit on it even though our APs don't expire until Aug & Nov 2017?

Thanks for posting this. Our APs expire in May. We have trips planned in June of 2017 and June 2018. I can't renew now, but I think I will just buy new passes. I want to get in on the 13 month AP.Yes you can buy a new pass/unactivated voucher while you have a pass "in force". My AP is good until April 29th, but I also bought a new pass that is linked to me. Normally I would renew, but the 13 months work better for me. I actually arrive on April 29th and on April 30 I'll activate the new pass which will be good until May 30 2018. I won't renew (which I always have) and will get a new pass in October 2018.
APs were increased in February 2016. I am pretty sure tickets went up at the same time. Do you really think Disney would do two raises in one year? I expect they will be raised in 2017 no later than February.
And don't forget Silver.,The last AP increase was October 2015, when the AP's were changed to Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus. MYW went up in February.

I've heard tales of renewal certificates. Personally never tried to get one though.
