I've seen a couple of posts since yesterday with reports of an AP increase. Anyone else hearing anything?

Haven't seen anything - rumored or otherwise. But last one was in February 2016 (I think), so it wouldn't surprise me.

I've been meaning to buy ours before the 13 month promo expires, so this reminded me. So thanks for the reminder! :)

They certainly won't be getting less expensive, LOL.

Thanks for the feedback. I've got mine taken care of, just trying to get my grown kids to take care of theirs. I got the granddaughters bought already, just gotta get their mom to take care of ordering hers. The dvc site doesn't always work, so don't want them to wait until the last minute and not get through.

I am planning on holding out until 1/3/2017. I hope no increase before then or I have at least a day notice so I can buy ours. I might give in and buy them before.

They haven't raised the AP since last Oct when they raised prices significantly and introduced the gold pass. I would think they probably will increase soon since disney doesn't seem to go too long between increases. I'm thinking it will probably be early next year after the 13 month promo ends.

Universal tweaked their pricing recently to include reg tickets offering their new WP as a 3rd park starting this summer. As the norm, when one raises prices the other tends to follow suit.

For once I was planning on actually renewing my WDW AP vs buying a voucher and letting months ago before I start it up.

What is procedure for renewals? Can I purchase a voucher from DVC & sit on it even though our APs don't expire until Aug & Nov 2017?

No, you can only renew 60 days before or 30 days after. I normally renew, but with the 13 month pass that will work better in the long run. Plus they get you because you have to have a pass on your account to book fast passes 60 days out too, so we can no longer renew in person like we use to do.

I've heard tales of renewal certificates. Personally never tried to get one though.

Thanks, now wondering if I could just buy 'new' AP vouchers with existing ones in force. Will try to remember to call MS & ask

Just hope WDW doesn't do anything drastic like last change/increase in Oct '15

Yes you can buy a new pass/unactivated voucher while you have a pass "in force". My AP is good until April 29th, but I also bought a new pass that is linked to me. Normally I would renew, but the 13 months work better for me. I actually arrive on April 29th and on April 30 I'll activate the new pass which will be good until May 30 2018. I won't renew (which I always have) and will get a new pass in October 2018.

Thanks for posting this. Our APs expire in May. We have trips planned in June of 2017 and June 2018. I can't renew now, but I think I will just buy new passes. I want to get in on the 13 month AP.

APs were increased in February 2016. I am pretty sure tickets went up at the same time. Do you really think Disney would do two raises in one year? I expect they will be raised in 2017 no later than February.

The last increase was just revamping and increasing the APs as I recall I don't recall when tickets went up....maybe last Oct?

The last AP increase was October 2015, when the AP's were changed to Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus. MYW went up in February.

And don't forget Silver.,

I thought I read a few months back that they were once again looking to break down the categories (as a back door way to raise prices).

Perhaps add a bronze pass that's only good for September, then raise the price for others?? :D

A few years ago we bought AP certificates (green cards) that we still haven't activated. We don't add our certificates or tickets to our MDE account until we are ready to use them.

I hope they hold off until Feb. - I was planning to upgrade a 7-day hopper from parksavers that we have for our son when we go Jan. 3rd. That would get him the 13 month activation. I'm afraid to hold my breath that long tho... :(

We had current APs when we were down in November. I didn't want to renew either. We are going back in March and wanted to have new APs for then and get the extra month too. I brought MYW tickets with me that I had bought from UT. I used them towards the price of new APs and got 4 cards. The CM told me I can activate them anytime in the future. I plan to link them to my MDE next month so I can make FP 60 days out.
