Hi All,

Been away from the forum for a while - couldn't really afford a trip to DLRP, so didn't want to read about it!.

However, I'm now considering a return visit. I've two questions surround APs which I think I used to know the answer to, and just want to check my memory.

AP Fantasy:
This has blackout days applied to it where it can't be used for entry. I seem to recall something that suggested that if you were staying at an onsite hotel the blackout dates didn't apply?.

AP Hotel:
It used to be possible to book a package for a single adult via the website or similar, and then have them add other AP holders to the booking on a Room + Breakfast only basis. There was no charged for these additional guest, although you may be charged a small tax at checkin.

Is my memory any good?. Do these options still work?.

Thanks

Iain.

your memory is perfect Iain - yes, you can still do both of those things :).

Hi Iain.

As I understand it, if you are staying onsite, you can have any AP and the blackout days don't apply.

And, yes, you can still book for a single person, then add other guests as 'room only'.

If I am wrong, I am sure another DISer will correct me soon enough...

Happy Planning!!

You are right.

1. No blockout dates if you stay onsite. It dosen´t matter which AP you have. I have the cheapest (Francilien)

2. You can add other guests (room only) to your booking later. They only have to pay the local taxes. At the SQL 2 month ago it was something about 1.50 € person/day

Resurrecting this thread as we're surprising Mum with a trip next year as Dad will be working away. Staying on site, and will have a spare ticket as we're all AP holders (Dream) BUT we're also surprising her with Dad and brother joining us a few days into the trip, so we're going to buy a her a Francillian AP and they will use the then two spare tickets.
Question is if we activate it on the first day, do the restriction (not blackout) 2 days apply after or does the hotel easy pass counterbalance this?? No real problem as we're going for 10 days (managed to convert the offsiters to stay onsite as the price was unbelievably CHEAP! ) and the others are not joining us for three days after, but we're trying to work out who should be the pass holder - Mum or Dad!

Hi All,

First I want to apologise for not having thanked you for your replies.

Another question if I may - do the other members of my party need to actually hold the AP at check-in?. Due to the way the trip has worked out we will check-in to the hotel later than plan on the 1st day - missing the park opening times.

Potentially the others in the party will not have an AP until the following morning once the park opens. Alternative I may mail-order the APs in advance as I have done in the past.

I would assume this is not an issue, but just would like to check.

Thank you

Iain

if you buy the Francillien AP on your first day of her trip with you, the 2 days non-contractual on day 2 and 3 apply, regardless of whether you are staying onsite or offsite. However, you can buy her Francillien AP in advance through the post from DLP before you go, this will give you a fully activated AP for her to use, which will already have the first 3 days passed by the time you go to DLP (its activation date is the day they make it at DLP, then they send it out to you already activated and permanent). ThBa did it earlier in the year this way and posted about it - its linked in the Annual Pass thread at the top of the forum :).

anyone can check in with no park tickets or APs, its not a problem and you won't be asked for them at the hotel.
