I have friends that will be meeting up with us next week while we're on vacation. They live in Florida and have APs. We have been planning this trip for a VERY long time... I made my plans and my ADRs @ 90 days, and got everything I wanted.. (more or less)... So, I'm a little un-willing to change my (ADR plans) since we've planned for so long. Well, here's the thing, my friends are not staying on property, and will not have the dining plan, but want to meet go to the sit down meals with us. I gave them the dates / times / places of the ADRs I made, and told him to try and get the same. He told me, he wasn't worried, because he's and AP holder and he has a "hotline" number to call when they are there to make the ressies. (I never heard of such a thing.... is there really a hot line? between my family and his, we'll be 10 people... so adding another 4 to a ressie for 6 may not be as easy as he thinks.... My DH said, well, maybe we could switch... but, one of the ressies in question is Chef Mickey's for my DD's birthday... I said I don't think there's a chance in H*** that he'll be able to get in on our date and time.. and I don't want to change it either. DH said we should just give them a sob story about how it's our DD's birthday, and they are our friends, meeting us to surprise her..lets see the Disney "magic" !.. Honestly, I tried several times on line to add to our ressie and can't get anything... I think it's too bad, and serves them right for not planning ahead... DH and the rest of them just don't get it! Am I being unrealistic? I don't think I should have to change my plans.... and I think it's a mistake to wait until he gets there to try the "hotline"... (Maybe they will have a lot of double bookings, or cancellations that day. but.. who knows)... what do you think? Is there really a magic hot line for AP holders?
