AP Holders Question

I too just purchased an AP in June. I'm trying to update my profile and put in my AP, but I keep getting a 505 error. Great -- they are probably sending out PINs right now and I won't get one. :wizard:

I've been an AP for more than 10 years and just got my first pin code recently. I was able to book AKL for Dec 3-5 for $149 a night. I'm hoping they drop the price to $139 like they're doing for the regular AP rate which I have booked for Oct 3-4. Every little bit helps.

Hi - I am new here, but thought I'd jump into this thread because this seems to be an eternal question of mine, as well.

I've been an AP holder for almost a year and have never received a PIN, not for AP specials, not for anything. :confused3 I feel like I've tried just about everything... somehow, Disney must just know they've got me and don't feel the need to lure me in. ;)

I'm just hoping at this point that Disney puts out some seriously good AP rates for the fall... we'll be there the end of October for 10 nights, split b/w CBR and AKL, so we could use some good rates!! :)

I am going to go register my AP on my Disney profile, though... didn't know you could do that. I'm registered on the AP site, but maybe it'll help. One last ditch effort, I guess!!

Yes you need to do this. While I've always registered my yearly AP on the passholder website, We have pretty much managed to get our MM quarterly. We use to not get pin offers, but last year they started coming in. THis year I went to the disney website and updated EVERYONE's profile on that website and we ALL get the pin offers now. We ALL get the emails about soft opennings and AP offers. When I say ALL I mean SIX different email addresses. It's nice now that you can add your AP info to your regular Disney profile. I registered everyone, just in case we miss something.

Well, I went to do it and lo & behold, I'd already done it!! Didn't even remember, very sad. ;) So, now I guess I wait... can't believe with all the updating I've done of my profile, belonging to the Mickey Moms' Club, etc., I get zip. Oh well... at least I can look forward to some AP rates coming out next month!! :woohoo:

:)Registered and no pin. Bought in March and just recently updated my profile to include AP info. We are going in Sept. with a good Disney Visa room-only rate and would like to go in Jan. if we get a good pin code.

I would LOVE to book AKL for that price -- fingers crossed for a pin or AP rates that good!

Registered AP holder here, and no PINs.......:sad1:Still hoping for one for December!!!

Well I ordered my AP online last weekend and the exchange voucher came today in the mail. I just went over to the Disney site to register it. First I went to my profile and added it. No problems. Then I went to the Passholders section of the site to do it there so I could log in as a passholder to see specials and whatnot. Of course, it would not work. On the date fields, this part of the site only has YY for the year, but my certificate is YYYY. The profile screen had YYYY. I'm not sure why its not the same on the passholders section. I've tried a variety of entries to make it work. No dice. :sad2:

We got annual passes at the end of June - our first time in about 5 years. We've registered mine & DH on the passholder's sight and I've done mine on the regular Disney site including the annual pass information.

If a pin code was to come - will it come by email or through regular mail? It seems like after reading through this thread that perhaps they come either way - or not at all!

Two other questions for those of you long-time AP holders/experts! If we are going and taking friends with us - can we use an AP discount and apply to their room. We are paying for the rooms, but not sure if we have to be staying in the room or not.

Other question - are there ever AP discounts that include the week after Easter? DD Band is going that week and we'd like to get a room with a discount - but since that is such a popular week - don't know if they even generally offer discounts for popular weeks.

Any help would be appreciated!

I got 40% pin code back in Feb. I think for Dec. (except week of 12/6) I booked two nights with 40% and 2 with AAA since we arrive 12/10 which is blacked out. I'm still hoping for something better than AAA for that week.
I got the same pin code offer again in May even after I already booked. They both were by e-mail.
My AP expires next Monday and not sure if I will renew or not. If a good AP discount comes out for that week in Dec. then I might buy one. I'll lose 5 months if I renew now anyway since not going until Dec.

AP holders here (est. 1995). We are registered through the passholder site and through disneyworld.com (profile update). We got the "email" AP holder 40% pin in Feb for dates later in the year (I booked a couple of nights for December). Then we got a similar "email" AP holder 40% pin (June 4) and had a few more dates and we booked a couple of nights for October. Mid June we got the snail-mail postcard for the free dining for Oct-Dec. That postcard arrived mid to late June.

Rather than renew your current pass, you could just buy a new one in December and save the 5 months. The renewal savings is about $50. If you go more than once a year, I think the 5 months is worth more than $50.

Hi,

Just paid over phone for 2 new AP's and now waiting for UK delivery and a hope for some offers in Oct end.

Why have they given discounts in Sept and Dec, yet skipped October end???

Any rationale?

Cheers
