Since 12/19 is the end of the value season this year (I've read that if you check in during a "season" that the price you pay for the entire stay is the price at check in vs. check out), does anyone remember what they paid for a stay during value season at the AllStars using their AP?

My mom just moved to FLA and I thought buying one AP would help with our stays.

Thanks in advance and have a great day.

If your mom is FL resident, she can book up to three rooms with the FL RES rate which is always as good or better than the AP rate. Last year there were GREAT code rates for checkins from DEC 25 (you had to checkin in by 12/25). I remember this specifically because my exterminator was going to arrive at AKL on DEC 26. I knew of codes good for checkin DEC 25, so he changed his plans. It was like 109 for AKL standard

Does my mom have to be staying with us to book these rooms? I was also wondering if anyone knew, my sister's boyfriend is a cast member at WDW. Could he book a room for us and get a better rate?

Thanks.

Cast members have a limited number of rooms that they can only use for themselves and their family, and the cast member has to be with you at check-in. I think it would be highly inappropriate for you to ask for this favor. Once your sister marries the gentlemen, it would be fine for you to ask her about it, but that's it. Cast members already get inundated with requests for room discounts frequently, however this benefit is supposed to be for the cast member themselves when they want to relax and enjoy time visiting with their family, not just for anyone that's traveling to WDW. Please keep that in mind before promoting "using a cast member" to get a discount on these boards.

Thank you for your understanding on this matter.

I *think* I paid about $59 for All Stars w/AP during value season last year. I may be off by a few dollars :)

You pay the rate that is in effect when you check in, so it pays to check the dates carefully. If you use an AP, you need to show it at check-in. Inn the past, it has been well worth it tp purchase an AP for the room discount, but something like the Fairy Tale package that is boing promoted now make you look at other options. Also, the AP rates seem to be coming out later and later now, so you do not always have as much advance knowledge.

I checked in last year on November 30th and out on December 7th at the ASSp...........It was a seven night stay for around $470 and change. Pretty sure it was around $55 a night!

I absolutely can appreciate what you are saying. I was not aware that cast member discounts were so few as to possibly keep them from enjoying their own well-deserved discounts.

I thought perhaps they were given something like vouchers that if they did not use them, they would free to give them away.

Thanks all for the AP info. This is a tough one. We just got back from Disneyland, so I am trying to plan a real budget trip.

Thanks and have a great night.

;)
