AP holder discounts

We are going to DL in February and I have been thinking about getting an AP for the extra discounts. When we spoke to our TA last week she was told they haven't determined yet if there will be any discounts offered for AP holders yet. We are currently booked off site but have been thinking about staying on site if there are discounts offered. I can't see what the discounts are online until I have an AP number. I would love it if someone could help me out.

Call the Disney hotel line directly. Even though you don't have an AP yet, you can still reserve a room at the AP rate, you just have to have the AP when you check in. There is always a 10% discount on rooms for AP holders, but sometimes there is more of a discount, which may be what you're TA was referring to when she said she didn't know if one will be offered.

Premium AP's get 15% off food and 20% off merchandise currently. All other AP's get 10% off both food and merchandise. All AP's get 20% off of tours.

Keep in mind that the merchandise discounts are set to expire at the end of 2012, however, they have been extended in the past so may be extended again.

So I'm probably best to wait and see what 2013 holds for discounts. Do you know when they typically release that info?
