I don't see this question w/i any of the stickies so here I go:

If an annual pass holder books a room and then opts in for a dining plan does that mean everyone else staying in the same room has to have the dining plan as well? The CM I asked said yes but well figured I'd ask others as well, LOL.

TIA!

Yes. Everyone on the same room reservation must have the same dining plan, regardless of what they are using for tickets.

The CM is correct. It doesn't matter what type of ticket you have or don't have, once you add the dining plan to a room only reservation, it becomes a package. Package rules apply and one of the package rules is everyone in the same room has to have the same package.

OK and I probably should have further explained that as a room only ressie the computer system was denying me the option of adding a dining plan since no parks had been booked. Bought our park tickets from a discounter TA before booking anything else just to miss the 2018 price rise.

With these assurances I'll figure out if both adults or only one needs the annual pass for the moment. Or as I tell my DGD: you'll have a use for math your entire life, LOL.

The computer won't let you do it. You have to call to get a "ticketless package."

agreed. You can't book a ticketless package online. You have to call. That dining plan would still be added for everyone in the room.

and you don't need to have AP to book a ticketless package.

But, still, everyone in the room has to have the same dining plan.
Fortunately I want everyone to be on the same dining plan:).
Problem solved with youse help and I'm now in debt to Disney for mo mo money having adding on the eating plan, LOL.
I'll leave the AP question off to the side for the moment since my primary goal has been achieved.
