AP Help please....

Hello all!

We are going to Disney for almost three weeks at Christmas. We have 7 day hoppers with water parks and no expiration. We are going back to Disney for MNSSHP and MVMCP form Oct 30- Nov 14th (2008)...

Should I upgrade to AP? How much discount does Disney give off rooms and dining? CM explained that I could use as many days as I wanted with the tickets I have and as long as I have one day left I can upgrade. The regular AP has no water park options. So I can use my on the tickets I already have?

Any help would be appreciated!

If you upgrade, your AP will actually have the date of the first use of the other tickets so keep that in mind when upgrading.. it will not be the date you upgrade. Yes, you would still be able to use your options, but before you upgrade.... they will no longer be there once you upgrade. As far as dicounts.. you cannot just upgrade thinking that you will get a discount on the room. Most of the time you can.. but not 100% of the time. Discounts range from 30-40% off rack rates..

Keep in mind with the "1 day remaining" it must be a non-expired day (ie if your tickets expire within 14 days, you must upgrade within 14 days).

As for dining discounts, you would be eligible to purchase the Disney Dining Experience (DDE). DDE offers you 20% off at many sit down restuarants. It is very different than the dining plan.

InstImpres is right, but an AP will get you 10% off of a lot of restaurants as well plus a believe a small discount at some shops in Downtown Disney.

Thanks to all that responded! I think I will upgrade. I will be going this Christmas and then again for two weeks at Halloween in 2008. For an extra $100 or so, I will have my tickets (hoppers) and maybe a few discounts to boot!
