Who told you that? Of course you can transfer fastpasses from person to person w/o the absent party scanning into the park.

Recent software update at Disney. If you try to use a fastpass attached to a profile that hasn’t entered the park, the whole MDE account will be locked and nothing will work until you go to Guest Services and talk to them about it.

Yes, changing the party would work, but you’d have to be linked up for that.
