AP freestyle cups?

Are there still AP cups and if so where do we buy them? I think we need to plan to keep the fluids going while we are there (even with having to wait in long lines).
Also can they be used for refills when mobile ordering somehow?
Finally where do we go to pay for activation on subsequent days? Thanks. I was trying to figure this and the photos out and got the photo pass figured out (hopefully). Initially we weren’t going to get a cup but we need to maximize our options to stay hydrated. If it ends up being a pain we just won’t buy the refills on subsequent days. Oh and I only have seasonal pass so hopefully we can buy the cup with that. Thanks all.

Cups can be recharged on subsequent days at any stand that sells the Freestyle cups. There are also two machines in Citywalk for refills. Don’t know about mobile order, but if the restaurant has a Freestyle machine, I imagine the cup will work. Keep the cup for subsequent visits. I dug out a cup from seven years ago that had the attached handle and took it with me two weeks ago and it was still capable of being recharged.

PS, the clip is from the current pass holders page. Unless you really want the AP design, there is another generic cup. Also some of the IOA stores sell a Velocicoaster cup but I think it is around $26.

yeah we probably will just get a regular freestyle cup because it will be easier.

True, the generic cups you can just walk up to a stand. You would have to wait for one of those restaurants to open and stand in line to get an AP cup. The only other thing I noticed was in trying to get a recharge on subsequent days, it was hard to find a stand that was open during early admission and generally had to wait until regular park opening.

I purchased 2 freestyle cups when I bought the annual passes for my friend and I. Do I have to pay the price for the cup and the refills? Also how do I show I paid for the cup with my annual pass purchase. I don't mind paying for it, but if I've already paid I don't want to pay twice.

If you bought the cup with the dining plan (I think it was a $35 option), the following might help you:

What happens after I purchase a Universal Dining Plan — Quick-Service online?
Visit a kiosk at the front gates of one of our theme parks to print your dining plan ticket, which you can then exchange for your Universal Dining Plan — Quick-Service card (one card per guest) at any of the following locations:

• Dining Reservation Cart in one of our theme parks
• Participating quick-service locations
• Universal Ticket Center Desk at Universal Orlando Resort Hotels

Your Refills will only be good for day of activation. You will need to purchase refills on subsequent days. If you have the preferred or premier pass, show it when you buy extra days since it gets you a discount. There have been several posts elsewhere not to buy more than one day at a time and to keep your receipt in case the recharge does not take.

Thanks for the info @MarcIsMe. I didn't buy the dining plan I just bought the cups with my annual pass. It was an option to buy them with the AP's. I think I'm going to call UO closer to my trip to see what the procedure will be. I'm going in January 2022 so I have a while.
