AP expiring - how to access resorts without paying for parking

I know it includes parking at the theme parks, but it allows us to park at the resorts too?

At the theme parks, not the resorts. The resorts may only permit guests of that resort or guests who have an ADR for a meal at the resort (and they might be limited to how long they might park).

You are correct...
Resort guests park for free, folks who have an ADR have a 3 hour limit to park.
They have become VERY strict at all of the Deluxe resorts except for WL and AKL. Both of those still allow people to park that just want to check out the resort.
