AP exchange certificate?

Hi, I received what I believe is my AP voucher in the mail today. It's green with the words "exchange certificate" on it...is this it? It doesn't mention taking it to downtown disney for activation, just theme parks. Does it matter? When I ordered it, the CM told me this would be fine for hotel checkin, no need for activation, beforehand. I don't want to make a mistake..so I think I'll go to activate it before arriving at AKL. I suppose I was expecting it to look different. Thanks!

Yep! That's your AP Voucher. I got the same thing in the mail. When you arrive at WDW, go activate it. If it's anything like DL, you'll have to have a photo taken when you go to activate your pass, and they will print that on your new AP and trade you for the green voucher.

As far as using it to check-in at AKL, I have consistantly heard that you don't need an activated AP to check-in, but they will ask you to bring back your activated pass once you've been to the parks. Basically, they'll take the voucher to varify your rate and room, but you have to come back with an active pass as soon as possible.

Just FYI, there is no photo taken. The AP has your name on it and the date its good until.

No photo? Good to know. That probably means shorter lines to get your pass then.

I activated my AP at Animal Kingdom and waited maybe 5 minutes for a CM. Not bad at all.

I don't believe that you can activate the APs at DD, only at the Theme Parks. Maybe you can activate the PAPs at DD.
