My star wars loving family has AP's that expire november 15th. Yes the day right before all the new season of the force stuff. We happen to be coming on vacation from November 7-14th and i am optimistic that there will be an AP preview like they've done in the past for other attractions. I want to be prepared if this happens so i have a few questions based on previous events: how do you sign up? There would be 6 of us total so would all 6 of us need to sign up or can one person do this for everyone. Do we all need an account on the disney website? Do they normally just announce these events on the disney parks blog, or is there somewhere online that i can sign up for email notifications? (I have never gotten any mail from disney since I've had my AP) I know this is all speculation, but i would hate to miss an opportunity because I didn't sign up fast enough. Thanks.

I don't think there was an AP preview for Frozen Fun (which was kind of a similar set-up, with multiple components in multiple locations), so I don't know if they will have one for Season of the Force. They might just simply soft open some things for the Avengers marathon weekend rather than try to sneak in an AP preview.

You can usually sign up with a maximum number of guests you can bring (sometimes only one guest, and sometimes several). You'd have to have a registered AP on the DLR website to receive offers. Most likely your group would exceed the number of allowed guests, so more than one person would need to register the AP on DLR's website to accommodate everyone.

Sometimes the Parks Blog will suddenly announce them, and sometimes they will appear in the AP section of the DLR website, or sometimes the AP holders will get an email.

You have to register your AP on the DLR website and check the boxes that ask you if you want to receive mailings, special offers, etc.

They very rarely send email notifications, and when they do, the events are often already full. You should follow Disney AP accounts on Twitter and Facebook for announcements. You may also be able to get notifications from the blog, I'm not sure. If there is a preview, it may require signups (I think the most they've ever done is plus 3 guests) or it may be a first come, first served wristband thing on that day. They've done things both ways. They've also opened new things with no AP preview at all.

I'm in almost the same boat. Our expire on the 17th, but our last day is the 15th. Dangit! I'm hoping for an AP preview, but I certainly don't count on it.

They are using technology a lot more these days in the parks. When they held the preview for Peter Pan after the update, they did make an announcement, but I think it was only a day or two before the preview. There was no sign-up required. You just showed up and waited in line. There was a checkpoint as you neared the front of the line where a CM scanned your AP.

I just check online for events, just did the Seize the Night AP event last month and never got an email for it

I think there's a good chance for an AP preview for some, if not all, aspects of Season of the Force. I remember reading about AP previews for the Iron Man exhibit and the Big Hero 6 meet and greet. I would definitely keep an eye on Twitter and FB.

Thanks everyone. I added the AP accounts to my Facebook and twitter today, so I am a step closer to being ready if an AP preview should be announced!

At this rate, Space Mountain is looking like it is going to be down from 11/2 until at least the start of the holiday season, if not until 11/16. Season of the Force begins 11/16. If Space Mountain ends up opening on 11/13, then it will simply be a soft opening of the ride -- probably targeted at all of the crowds who gather for the marathon and for the start of the holidays. In that case I don't think Disney would bother with an AP preview for that ride. That's going to be too busy of a week/weekend.

I think that only if they can get something up and running before 11/13 would there be any kind of AP preview. Otherwise, it is just going to be a surprise soft opening for everyone, for the Avengers/beginning of the holiday season weekend. That's my guess.

In any case, remember to register your AP on the DLR website!
