Does anyone know the details about the AP event for HHN tonight? We were told about it when we upgraded to Frequent Fear, but at the time we weren't planning to attend so I didn't pay attention. Now atigeg twisted my arm (this is inkkognito typing this), so we have our Express Passes in hand and are heading over for one last fling. I didn't see anything online so any details would be appreciated. I think the GS person said APs get in early (like around 5?) and that certain things would be open, but I don't recall for sure.

I heard something vaguely about it a couple of weeks ago but can't remember the details. Call the AP hotline and see what you can find out.

I called and they said the APs have a special waiting area by Jaws and early access to two houses (bummer...wish it was the soundstage ones...but I'll take ANYTHING early on a Sat.).

Thanks for the update. By the time I get there tonight the AP event will already have started so I'm glad you called. Sorry i couldn't help with the info.

No problem...it worked out GREAT! We hit the two houses that were open for the event (Jason and The Thing) and then queued up to get a quick start over to the soundstage houses where we got some great no-line time. It was a little melancholy being there tonight tho', knowing it was the last night. I am going to be going through withdrawal now! (Me and habby both...this is inkkognito again).

The AP event Friday and Saturday were a 100 times better than the events of the first 2 nights. I complimented one AP staff member who agreed that the first 2 night's events were not well planned.

atigeg and I remembered reading the horror stories about those first events...even tho' we didn't have the "pleasure" of attending them, he said, "This sure seems a lot better than that mess we read about!" My only wish was that The Thing and Jack were the two that were open rather than The Thing and Jason. That way, we could have done the little shortcut from Jack's exit right to Thing. But that's just a minor gripe; overall it was nice to get an early start.

I did the AP thing Friday and Saturday but also did the RIP Tour Friday and Saturday. One guide took us to the Thing first and then the Funhouse and the other did it the opposite. The second night, Sept. 29th, the Thing was supposed to be open early for the Ultimate Horror Party but the entrance was all the way around by Barney and it didn't open early. When it did open after a ton of kicking and screaming the house was empty with no scareactors.

The Thing seemed rather hit or miss on the number of scaractors inside at any given time. The first time I went through it, I was underwhelmed because there were very few. By the end of HHN, it had creeped up on my list because we went through a few times where there were lots and where they gave some really good scares. Jason was like that too...sometimes seemed like hardly anyone was inside, and other times they were EVERYWHERE! Jack and the soundstage houses seemed a lot more consistent with the number of scaractors we encountered on any given walk-through. My favorite, Psychoscarapy, was always packed with inmates, and Freddy was always all over the place in his house.

Then the events of the first 2 nights must have been awfully planned cause I was there for the AP event on the last Saturday and thought it was pretty disorganized.A group of us were told to get to the Thing house we needed to walk over to the entrance by ET,when we got there we were told to go back to the MIB area and the entrance would be there.Employees didn't really know what was supposed to happen. We had to ask continuously for Horror Night maps until we got a lady who appeared to management who did get them.I wouldn't say it was awful, but I definitely wouldn't call it well planned.

They moved the Thing entrance to the RIP entrance for the AP event which eliminated a ton of walking. Sept. 29th we walked around to the Barney entrance and stood in the pouring rain for 15 minutes before they opened and sent us through a house with no scareactors. That was just the tip of a frustrating iceburg. I detailed my concerns in writing to Guest Services and was compensated beyond my expectations.
Annual Pass folks don't comunicate with guest services at all. They find out things like this last event if friends or relatives with AP's receive the postcards and share them.
