AP Discounts in June?

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to the boards, being a lurker for quite some time. I'm in the process of planning a trip with a friend, and in listening to a Podcast this afternoon I heard a reference to buying an AP and getting significant savings on rooms that might make up for the cost difference.

Does anyone know if AP discounts have been posted yet beyond 6/6? I found discounts up through then. I'm specifically concerned about the hotels - we have a reservation at Animal Kingdom Lodge. If the discount stays the same as it is through 6/6, it makes sense to upgrade to the annual pass. If it goes down significantly, it might not.

Also - right now we're booked with the deluxe dining plan. Is there a discount at all for that with an AP? How would I go about booking? Would I need to do a room-only AP booking then add a dining plan separately? It's a little confusing... any explanation would be appreciated!

What other major discounts might we get? I saw the 15% off the Backstage Magic tour, which we're also taking, so that helps.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Dan

No one knows what the AP rates will be after 6/6 - they're not posted yet.

There's no AP discount on the dining plans, just on the room.

There has been AP discounts for June and July past years, however, this is summer season and the discounts are few. Often they only include delux resorts in the epcot area and some dvc resorts. Last year I believe a few moderates got discounts in July with limited availability. No values generally for June and July as they fill easily with folks on summer vacation. However, everything is different this year, so we'll have to wait and see. I would love one for mid-July for my one night before moving to our DVC resort, but I do have a back up in case there are no discounts for weekends this summer. Good luck.

I am really hoping for an AP discount for end of June for an unexpected short trip with my DS. I'll be keeping an eye out!

I have an AP and I booked the 4/3 deal. Even if you do not consider the 1 day MYW ticket, I still came out ahead vs AP rate.
I check in on the 4th and the AP rates are out through the 6th I think. If I recall correctly, the later June rates are more than the earlier June so I do not expect it to be better- although I would love to be pleasantly surprised. :)
