AP Discounts and FL Resident Discounts

FRom doing some research it looks like the discounts for AP holders and Fl residents are the same for Disney resorts. I had always thought AP rates would be better than the FL resident rates.

Nope, they are usually the same or with in $1 of each other.

Yeah at least current discounts are the same.

To my knowledge they were always the same. Then last year when Disney started the Best Rate Plan, they had the BRP (which was really the AP rate) at a few dollars less than the FL rates. Now they seem to be back to the same. The funny thing is too, if there is no availability for AP rate, there usually isn't for FL rate either. I want to say they lump the block of rooms together ....
