AP Discounted tickets

Do AP holders get discounts on admission tickets? Example: DH and I have AP, but we are bringing our entire family this summer and want to take advantage of the buy 3 get 2 offer that is going on. Do we get any additional discounts by having AP? (We need tickets for 5 adults and 1 child.)

Also, we've reserved the "3 bedroom" suite at HRH, which is 2 Double Queens and a King room - has anyone stayed in this and can show some pics? I'm just curious as to the layout, access doors between rooms, etc..

The AP guest ticket discount is "10-15% off multi-day theme park admission tickets purchased at the front gate (Up to 6 tickets per transaction per day; not valid on Universal Express passes, or tickets with Universal Express.)"

I think you're better off buying the promotional tickets before they stop selling them. I guess you can call and see if the 10-15% off applies to the buy 3 get 2 but my guess is that it doesn't. I think it's just off regular priced tickets.

Undercover Tourist sells them slightly cheaper typically and they also have the buy 3 get 2 promo. Orlando Informer might also.

ETA: We took this route (Undercover Tourist) when we purchased discount tickets. It ended up being about the same cost compared to if we would’ve used our AP for the discount. This way, we had printed tickets before our arrival instead of purchasing at the park gate. You could also select Will Call and pick them up at a Universal hotel travel desk.

Thanks everyone! I went on and got them through Undercover Tourist - it was about a $300 savings so that was nice!
Now, if anyone has insight into the suite we are getting that would be awesome!

Quick Question: If I started my UOAP on August 21, 2022 does it expire August 20, 2023? (Can I still use it - Aug. 20, 2023 ?)

I think the desk at the resort also counts as gate and get s the discount.
We got a discount through xfinity last time.

If you are an AP holder and want to save some serious money, look for the AP discounted rooms....and keep checking back, again and again. For our May trip, I started out with a room booked at Hard Rock for $450/night for 4 nights and I keep checking and re-reserving...now reserved for $280/night for 6 nights...same room type, at Hard Rock...that's two more nights for $120 less than the original reservation. If it gets cheaper, I just re-book, until I am within 5 days of my trip.
