I'm wondering what experiences any of you have had while purchasing the AP with DVC discount. How strict are they about the picture ID having the same address as the DVC owner??? My family is a DVC owner at OKW and has been for 10 years or so.
I just read some information in the DVC newsletter that said up to 10 people (living in the same house) can get the DVC discount on AP's. Here's the problem... my step-father registered the DVC membership to his office address. He does use this address for his driver's license but no one else does... not my mom, sister, brother or myself. Will this cause a problem?
Has anyone had any experience with this just recently?

We bought APs in April, but we all have the same address.

Call Member Services or Guest Services (have the DVC owner do this) and ask them. They may want the owner there to verify, or maybe not.

Best to check to make sure.

I think it will cause a problem. Good idea to call MS and see what needs to be done for you to get the discount.

Best wishes-

Is your step father the only person listed on the deed as an owner? If so, you may indeed have a problem. If your Mom is also listed on the deed, she should have her own DVC Member card, which she could use to get the discount for everyone that has the same address on their DL.

My mother's name is on the DVC deed but the address does not match her driver's license. To make matters worse, I'm going without them in November. My step-father said that he would buy the AP online and I would just activate it there (this is what we did summer of 2004 and had no problems then.)

I don't think guest services at the parks actually accesses the address on the deeds to activate the passes, they check DL against the name imprinted onto the blue member card, so as long as your Mom has a blue member card there shouldn't be a problem there.

Now, activating your pass without your Mom or Stepdad there may be a problem. You may have Mom or Step call DVC Member Services to check on that policy, they may require that at least one actual DVC member, with a blue card that has their name on it, be present to activate the passes.

Since no AP discounts were available in 2004, there would have been o need to have one of them present before this year.
