AP discount with DVC discount

I was cleaning out my draws the yesterday and found some park passes. Since I am a DVC member can I take whatever remaining days on the passes put it towards an AP and still get my DVC discount?

I am going to WDW on Wednesday and if I can do it then I will take the plunge.

Yes. You can get a dollar credit for the remaining value of one old pass for each AP/PAP you purchase. You can still get the DVC discount on the AP/PAP pass.

Will probably be doing the same thing on our upcoming April trip. Where do we buy the APs? Is there an advance purchase price for these, like for other tickets? We used to always buy park hoppers, so jus recently decided to get APs, mainly due to DVC discount, plus will be at WDW at least 10 days this year.
