I've been reading that you must have one AP in each room to get a discount. I have some questions as to how this might apply to our situation.

We're (me, DH & DS) planning to take a trip in early Dec. and want to invite my mom and my as our guests. We're considering getting APs for us & DS since we will likely be back within a year, but would be just getting hoppers for Mom and sis/bil who would only be coming this one time.

I understand that, even though we'll be paying for all rooms, we'd only be entitled to a discount on ours. Is it possible and/or ethical to book a room under DH's name, one under my name, and one under DS's name to get the discount for each room?

How old is your DS? Only adults can book AP discounted rooms. You can put one room in your name and one room in your husband's name, but then you would have to keep straight which key belongs to which room. Also, if you are planning to get the dining plan, having your husband's name on someone else's room will cause confusion.

OH, yeah...didn't even think about him being a minor! We wouldn't bother with the Dining Plan anyway but even just with the rooms, I'm thinking it would be more confusion than it's worth.

Plus, even though we'd be paying for all three rooms, I feel a little weird about trying to work the system (it's that old Irish Catholic guilt I have!).
