So this is weird!! Can someone help explain this?

We currently have March 25-29 booked at Boardwalk with AP discount. Also have March 29-April 1 booked at Boardwalk also with AP discount (originally Yacht Club but decided to change and not do split stay). So we have 2 reservations at same resort/same room category of Standard for total cost of $2750.98 (for both reservations). By chance, I thought I would check to see if all 7 nights had opened up with the AP discount and it had!! Thought that would be more convenient to not have to check out and back in, etc. But the total price was $3196.70. Same dates exactly, same number of nights total, same resort and same room category (SV). Any ideas?

I have seen Disney have different prices under the same discount category many times in the past when I was searching. Example, I had a reservation already reserved for 7 nights and was looking again later and the same resort for the exact same dates was a little more. I went through all the steps to reserve it until I got to the page that breaks down the per day charge and noticed that the prices for Friday and Saturday nights were higher now then on my actual reservation. I believe as more rooms are booked that WDW starts to "adjust" their prices.

Yeah, check the price per night. I bet there are some nights that are going for rack rate and some for the discount.
Sometime in the past few months they've made a change to the way the system shows available rooms.
At one point the entire stay had to be available at the promo. If even 1 night out of your stay was sold out it showed as unavailable.
Now, it shows even if a few nights are available for the promo, as long as there are rooms of some price. So you can get a mixture, rack rate and promo or you can get all promo.
This happened to us for our April stay at WL.
When I booked in January I got the promo rate for all 5 nights.
Now, if I look the total is much higher. At the top, where it lists the promo booking it shows the same promo name.
When I looked at the breakdown difference I see that 3 of the nights are full price and 2 are discounted.

How do I check the price per night? I can't find that anywhere. Just my subtotal and total. I even tried to go through the checkout process and can't find it.

When you put in your dates and it comes back with the hotel options, click on the hotel you want and it will give you room and price options. Click on the 'Rate Details' under the 'AVG Night' cost and it will show you the cost per day broken down over your stay.
