AP discount on tickets ??

Can you use your AP to buy the 5 day Universal ticket with a 15% discount?

I am trying to figure out if it is worth it to get two 2 Park Power Pass or one Power Pass and one Prefered pass to get the discount.

On this note - Can I even upgrade a five day online pass to an AP? Or can you just upgrade with the one day passes? I was hoping to upgrade our two five day passes to 2 AP's - one prefered and one power and then later buy two more five day passes with the AP discount. Can this be done? Or is it just wishful thinking??

Hello, Tonia, Kindred Spirit. Yes, you can do this. It's exactly what I did -- upgraded two 5-day bonus passes to annual passes. I did it all online. It was easy.

All I did was purchase the APs online, and write an e-mail to customer service telling them to cancel my initial order and validate my new one. (customer.support@tickets.universalstudios.com). They refunded my initial purchase to my CC and then only charged the AP amount.

They always let you spend MORE $$!

Hey Jodie!! Thanks for this info.!! Now, another question. How soon did you get your AP's? We are leaving next Friday (Yeah! ), so I would need them ASAP - do they Next Day Air them, like the five day bonus pass?

OK, next step: Convincing DH to spend more money now, to save money later!! LOL

U can go with e-ticket option to buy your passes just remember to have the credit card with u that u used to purchase them
but they also do do next day delivery

Hi Tonia. I did what Highlander did. Just purchased online and plan to pick them up at the electronic kiosk. Many people have reported it's easy and painless -- I think SpideyHulk did this too. They'll give you a confirmation #, and just print the page and take it with you. It acts as your receipt.

Also, be sure, like Highlander mentioned, to bring the cc you charged them to -- you'll need it to access your tickets from the kiosk. (Your card will not be charged again.) Good luck!

Oh, I didn't realize you could pick up an AP like this too. Do you then go somewhere to activate it or have a photo taken or something?

I'm sure others can respond to this better, but yes. I believe the machine spits out your tickets and then you go just inside to have your picture taken and receive your actual APs.

(We're still waiting to activate ours.)

We activated our AP's and had picture taken at Universal Vacation Services. You can do it at IOA or Universal. It was quick and easy! Smile for the camera!!
