AP discount on food

Do you have to get the DDE to get a discount on food with your AP or is there a discount offered without it?

there are some restaurants that give you a ten percent discount but it is only Monday thru Friday and only during lunch times.......I will find the place where I read it.....but for a few here I cant remember where I saw it.....maybe on my old AP card...

If I am mistaken please someone tell me so......thanks

The discount is at lunch, not at all of the restuarants and is 10% off total bill. I'm not sure if it is only Mon - Fri because I am pretty sure we've used our AP discount on a weekend before. I don't have my AP ticket holder in front of me so I am going off of memory (dangerous to do at times). This is the AP site: www.disneyworld.com/passholders .

Thank you for your help. I am trying to decide wether an AP is the best way for me to go. We are planning on going 3 times this year and if that pans out then it would of course be the best choice but I still cannot decide..
