Wow! Well, that IS truly great, because anything in the $100 range per night at GCH is unheard of, as we all know! Why does nothing like that ever happen to me? Oh well, that is wonderful for you. And does it include a weekend, or are they weekdays? I was going to say if a weekend was in your reservation, it would be even more of a deal, but either way - GCH is the best of the three hotels to be in for Christamastime, and that is an excellent price.
All these mistakes the CM's are making in regards to reservations makes me nervous. I had my initial PIN# PPH reservation set for October. Then I was trying to switch weekends. The weekend I wanted was all booked up with the PIN thing. We decided we didn't need to change weekends after all. Then, I decided to add a night to the existing plan. I called and there was much confusion on their end as to how to add a night because the computer was showing the night I wanted to add as being booked at the PIN rate even though they knew it wasn't. I was put on hold for a long time while the CM and the supervisor tried to figure it out. Finally, the CM came back and said they figured out a way to do it, but didn't explain how. And come to think of it, they did not send me an updated confirmation (they probably sent it to soemone else again!). So I THINK I have a reservation from October 2 - 5, but I had better double check. They may still have me down for October 3-5, and we'll show up on the 2nd with no place to go! I wish I had been able to get into the GCH at the PPH rate! Darn! We got SO much more done when we stayed at GCH, and were so much more rested!
I WAS contemplating asking them to switch me to a room at the DLH if one opens up, so I will keep calling them up until the day before we arrive and see if there is an opening, and maybe if they have last minute cancellations for the PIN rooms, I can end up in the GCH for the same price. ($259 was a little too much at this time.)
