I don't have my AP yet and was wondering if anyone has info on the approx. price of the rooms at the Polynesian. I may surprise DH, he's always wanted to stay there.
In order to get an AP rate you only have to show your AP at the front desk of the hotel when you check in. However, as Snackystacky stated, you can only find out what the AP rates are once they've been released (if at all) for your travel dates.
Deemarch - for 2004 Value Season, a garden view room is $299 + tax and lagoon view is $385 +tax. Until the end of August, there is an AP discount of a flat $85/night for all deluxe, regardless of room type. So, for example, a garden view room would be $214 + $24.61 tax = $238.61.
That's the discount for right now, if and when a new discount comes out, it could be different. There's no predicting the next discount, but you can look at historical trends on mousesavers.com under the "FAQ" section. Knowing the discount has nothing to do with whether you have an AP or not, activated or not, the information is available to everyone.

snackystacky - I hope I didn't give the idea that I was attacking your information - just trying to answer a question. There was no animosity intended, nor was my post in any way directed at you.
on when you're going of course. We were just in paradise (a.k.a. The Poly) from 7/6 - 7/13. We used our AP discount and we paid $233.00 per night which included tax. This was considered value season.

We stayed early June -- "regular season" and I had an AP rate of $266 per night including tax. This was for garden view. One of the nice things about the Poly is that even the "cheap" view is beautiful. We stayed in Raratonga and looked toward the quiet pool. The building was just renovated and everything was wonderful.
I hope to go back next summer after July 4th. That's "value season" for the Deluxes and saves about $50 right off the bat!
