AP discount after booking?

Hello everyone,
I'm new to reading this forum, (I'm usually in the Disney Wedding one), but have a question about AP bookings.
It sounds like everyone who has AP's watches for dates/resorts to book to obtain a discount - right?
In order to book a wedding 8 months ago, we had to book a minimum 4 night stay at a Disney resort. Our wedding package includes 2 AP's.
Can we call back and see if we can use the AP's to get a discount if one applies? or are we screwed because we have already booked?
Also, where are these discounts posted.

I don't know if wedding packages are different, normally you can call and apply an AP discount after it comes out. I have done it. The discounts are posted on the AP holder site. I usually just look under the codes & rates section of the resorts board and someone will have it posted. From your ticker I see your wedding is soon. I believe the discount is 40% off rooms for your dates. You should call to check.

Well I know that when we did our DFTW 4 years ago we were able to call up the reservations dept. for groups and chat about the AP discount after the reservation was made. At the time the AP discount didn't help us but they were more than willing to apply it if it had.
