Is this just an AP promotion?
We're also DVC members, so I need to remember which thing gets us the best discount where!!

Do you have to pay using your MagicBand for them to recognise you're an AP holder?

The 20% was also being given to DVC members in the past and it seems like for now it is still in effect. My husband did not pack his AP but used his digital DVC card to get the discount once or twice when we weren't together in the parks.

Do I get given this when I activate my AP? I don't have a card at the moment?

I had to ask them for it when I upgraded a park hopper to AP in August at Guest Services. So if they don't give you one, ask!

Took full advantage of this discount on my recent 4-day visit. saved over $100 on dining with the party of 5 or 6 of us. Servers were awesome about applying the discount. Only 1 even asked to see my AP card when I asked for the discount and all of them applied it to the entire check even though it is only supposed to be for 4.
