AP & DDE(Ordering both at the same time??)

Why can't they set it up so you can order your AP & DDE at the same time. The way it is now you have to wait till have you AP to order DDE. I order my AP online and pick it up at will call when I get to WDW. My vacation would be over before I could get my DDE. It only makes sense to have that as an option when ordering AP's

You can call Disney Dining Experience and arrange for a temporary card. That's what we did. The real card came after we got home.

You can order DDE with a voucher number for the AP.

If you will-call it I don't know how you'd get a voucher # for it.

I knew these steps already, I just don't understand why they can't have an option to order both at the same time, so they expire together, too. Kind of like adding DDP to your room ressies. They start when your ressie starts and end when it ends.

I completely agree with this. I'll be picking up my AP this week, and decided to go with DDP instead of DDE because it was a pain to try to coordinate the DDE. Now I will be getting the DDE for my trip next month, and once again it will be on a different cycle than my AP. Kinda silly, I think.
