Ap Code Is Out!

This is exciting. My story is this. We let our AP's lapse, due to financial circumstances. I was thinking about buying new ones. HOWEVER, I got a quote for the Visa cardholder package yesterday.

Poly, 7 nights, 7 day base ticket = $2,637.00. I guess we could add park hoppers if we so choose for $45 each.

If the Poly AP rate is $289 that would be.

7 x 289 = $2,023
2 AP's = 924
TOTAL = $2,947

That's more than the package so I'm torn. ALSO, I'm assuming $289 a night for the Poly includes tax - would someone please confirm?

Thanks

PamNC

Pam,

Where did you see 2 APs for $924? I am looking on the WDW site, and they are $595 each (including tax).

edit: Oops, I was looking at premium annual passes. Sorry about that!

Every time I enter my info, I keep getting the "Please select a Resort other than "No Preference". Huh? I have selected resorts over and over and I can't get it to work. I wanted to see the rates before I call. Anyone else getting that message above? (this is for mid-Oct).

They are having trouble with their site -- I'm getting the same message. I am now on hold 31 minutes and counting....

I found the SAME thing... first week of December was scarce of discounts. I moved our dates to the week starting 12/10 and found more AP discount availability. Even then, the discounts at the Deluxe resorts weren't that great. Last year, we were finding discounts of about 35% at the Deluxe resorts and this year the quotes were 20% off at best.

Are you set on YCWV? The standard rooms at the Epcot resorts are $265.

$595 are the premium APs, the regular ones are $434 a piece (plus tax)

TY...off to sit on the phone for awhile. Hope it is worth it ;)

I was never asked for a code either.
To all those thinking of getting the DDE card - we've had it for a few years and it is awesome!! If you like eating in TS restaurants I think it's defnitely the way to go!

I'm spolied when it comes to water/pool view rooms. ;)

I'm so bummed!!! :guilty:

There are no AP rates for anything during our timeframe of 10/5 - 10/10 except at WL courtyard, which we're just not that interested in. I'm so surprised POFQ and POR have nothing for the AP holders. At least we budgeted at rack rate, but it's such a disappointment!

You dont need to buy the AP yet. Why not book the AP now before its gone and then IF codes come out the public switch it?
Personally what you will save with the DDE will probably justify the AP rate. Originall i was thinking of doing what i suggested to you, but the more i think about it the more i think that getting DDE will be worth the savings!

DDE is the icing on the cake for me, and I'm so going for it.

Need help...

Right now I have:
Poly GV w/AAA - 11/18 - 11/25 - $2591
8 day park hoppers for 5 people - $1332
Total - $3923

I COULD get:
Poly same room & dates w/AP - $2276
I need to buy an AP - $462
8 day park hoppers for 4 people - $1065
Total - $3803

SAVINGS of $120!!!

Then if I have an AP...I could get the DDE card since we ar not on the dining plan.

Do I get the AP or hope for a room only general code tomorrow?

I went and booked it. My savings will go down IF we decide to add the wanter n more option onto the park hoppers & then I'll need to get a premium AP.

But since we aren't using any dining plan, the DDE card should save us some $$$.

This is what I was able to get...

December 9-18~Beach Club~Standard View~$234/night
December 18-23~Wilderness Lodge~Courtyard View~$189/night
December 23-January 2~Wilderness Lodge~Courtyard View~$189/night

I didn't get it! They didn't have any king rooms for POFQ. Rates were $44 off rack rates and they couldn't apply it to my reservation because I booked it online -- I never heard of such a thing before -- I have my husband calling this time and trying to see what he can do. They did tell me WL was going for $169/night and GF $405/night!!!
