Just got back from taking DD to daycamp & I cannot even get through Circuits are busy.

Our week(end) is 12/9 - 12/15 I am hoping to save enough to add that Friday night

Called at 8AM when I saw the boards--I got *nothing* for the 1st wk of Dec--in fact, I could barely get a deluxe room! Right now we have the Poly GV ($315) 8 nights, no discounts (AP or AAA). Apparently that's become a very busy week to visit this year...
If anyone else did well for the 1st wk of Dec let me know, cuz I'll probably be calling to try to switch every couple of days or so.

I found the SAME thing... first week of December was scarce of discounts. I moved our dates to the week starting 12/10 and found more AP discount availability. Even then, the discounts at the Deluxe resorts weren't that great. Last year, we were finding discounts of about 35% at the Deluxe resorts and this year the quotes were 20% off at best.

8 day park hoppers for 5 people - $1332
Total - $3923

I COULD get:
Poly same room & dates w/AP - $2276
I need to buy an AP - $462
8 day park hoppers for 4 people - $1065
Total - $3803

SAVINGS of $120!!!

Then if I have an AP...I could get the DDE card since we ar not on the dining plan.

Do I get the AP or hope for a room only general code tomorrow?

NO DISCOUNTS for the Poly 12/7-12/9, nothing at GF, WL or CR but suites at CR.

I did get BWI in Oct for $265 per night.

I got on hold and got someone that was new or something and couldn't help me! Arghh!

I am so angry right now. I got on hold waited, then they transferred me, then I got someone that took 10 minutes to get my information. Didn't know what they were doing and then told me they had nothing available at the WL. I asked about the other hotels and I just got frustrated and told her I would call back!

So upset.

We are staying 2 nights 12/7-12/9 before our cruise...I have been calling and checkig the website for a few weeks as I hadn't booked a room yet. For the longest time nothing was avail at GF, Poly, CR or WL except the CR suites. (to the tune of $1800 for 2 nights) well the Poly GV opened up I called and snagged it at $315 RACK RATE for the two nights. I finally got through this morning and the CM said that the MK resorts were so busy during that first week that no AP rates were available for them and the only thing she could even find with an AP rate was CBR....I am pretty bummed but am glad we have a room - even if it is $315 a night, next year I am booking early!

You dont need to buy the AP yet. Why not book the AP now before its gone and then IF codes come out the public switch it?
Personally what you will save with the DDE will probably justify the AP rate. Originall i was thinking of doing what i suggested to you, but the more i think about it the more i think that getting DDE will be worth the savings!

We are going Oct. 14-27. I got the WL Courtyard view for $230/night. There were no standard or woods view rooms available for these dates.

Okay, now I am on hold for the second time 19 minutes -- and this time I am try calling the AP number (407) 560-7277, thought there might be less traffic there, but I was wrong. I'm wishing,,,,,,,I'm wishing*******I'm wishing........ I need pixie dust!!! This is for our 25th wedding anniversary! I tried for the Visa discount for POFQ and couldn't get a king bed. I need Tink NOW!!!!

No boomersmom the AP rate is stricly room only. However if you buy the AP you can get the Disney Dining Experience for something like 60.00 and that will save you a lot on dining.

This is exciting. My story is this. We let our AP's lapse, due to financial circumstances. I was thinking about buying new ones. HOWEVER, I got a quote for the Visa cardholder package yesterday.

Poly, 7 nights, 7 day base ticket = $2,637.00. I guess we could add park hoppers if we so choose for $45 each.

If the Poly AP rate is $289 that would be.

7 x 289 = $2,023
2 AP's = 924
TOTAL = $2,947

That's more than the package so I'm torn. ALSO, I'm assuming $289 a night for the Poly includes tax - would someone please confirm?

Nope...

You can not combine the Magic Your Way Dining Package with any type of discount except it's own.

On hold about 30 minutes, finally got through. Only thing left for Oct 6-9 is OKW, SSR, or GF Honeymoon suite. All other deluxe resorts completely sold out for AP. Had to keep our AAA reservation at AKL to end our DVC stay at BWV. Good luck to those of you still on hold.

Same results for me. After 40 MINUTES ON HOLD Staying 12th - 23rd only thing avl was CV at WL for $230. It came out to be about $70 more expensive than the package I booked yesterday with Disney Visa for the CV there. I figure the "more expensive" part was due to the fact that I would have to buy the AP and that is more expensive than the MYW + hopping + WP&M tics we have in the package.
