AP Cards or MB?

We bought new APs.
Are they still issuing the plastic card or are they now on the MB?
If cards, do we receive these in the mail, like MBs? OR, do they give them to us at Guest Relations when we activate them?

You will receive the card when you activate. You need the card for discounts.

You can link your AP to a MB (new or old one) while logged in to your Disney account if you want, but you can always use just the card & never have an MB. If you want, you can link your AP to a MB (new or old) while logged in to your Disney account. Yes, you will need the physical card (plus id) to get an AP discount. But, there are many reported work arounds if you happen to not have your card. Last night I didn't have my ticket, showed the clerk my MDE acct that I had an AP & showed my id & received a discount.

Your AP does not link to your MB. Your AP links to your MDX Profile where your MB is also linked.

It’s your MDX account which proves you have a linked AP. The MB provides the link to that data and ID is still required when making purchases.
