I keep reading and reading these posts, yet I'm still not understanding the new AP/BRP thing. So you buy the AP, then you get a discount per night per room. But when do these rates get published?? I mean, it seems like they get published something like less than 6 months in advance. What if you wait for them, and then the resort you want is all booked up? It would seem to me that they should publish them at least ONE year in advance so people can decide if buying the AP is worth it. Am I missing something?

Oh, I forgot to ask this, can you get both AAA and BRP on a room? I didn't think so, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks.

The AP/Best Rate room discounts are not guaranteed, so if you're considering buying an annual pass, then purchase it for the admission, not for the room discounts.

Disney traditionally, has always released passholder rates around 3 months (give or take) in advance. I can't ever remember a time where they were released a year out. They do this because if the occuoancy looks like it's going to be high, they can offer smaller discounts or fewer discounted rooms. If occupancy looks low, they can offer bigger discounts/more discounted rooms.

Unfortunately, you can't combine discounts on a room....Sorry :flower:

Tink10, thanks for your explanation. I was looking at it with blinders I guess, from my point of view. Of course, if there is a lot of demand, there would be no reason for them to offer discounts. Sometimes I surprise myself at how I miss such obvious things... :rotfl2:
