AP blockout dates question

We have seaonal APs and will be at Disney December 29-January 6th. I specifically added a day to the trip in hopes we could go to UO January 5-6. On their website, they only list blockout dates through the end of December. Does anyone know when 2018 blockout dates will be released? I called about a month ago and they said, "soon, very soon".
It looks like 2017 block out dates ended January 3rd...
Any info is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Stacey

I don't know of anything going on that would cause January 5-6 to be blocked out. I think you are OK.

I think my biggest complaint about Universal is the lack of timely information on hours, early admission, blockout dates, etc. I would hope that if they ended on the 3rd last year that you would be OK, but there doesn't seem to be any reason why they take so long to tell you!

OK, that doesn't really help me as I live too far away to take advantage/change my plans when they unblock. I keep reading on the Volcano Bay thread that they are changing the hours for early entry on a daily basis, but that is not online anywhere so I don't know what to expect until my arrival day. It can be frustrating.

Guess I should have quoted buzznina, as his/her post disappeared after I responded. It was about how Universal was nice to lift blockout dates which Disney never does (but apparently did recently for some passholders.)

Universal also recently decreased the hours for August 12 - they are now closing at 9 instead of 10 as previously listed, which disappointed me a bit.

Disney Blockout dates end January 3rd. I find Disney and Universal blockout dates to be very similar. Disney did have one day less blocked out for spring break than Universal, but that's just one day difference. So, my guess is that you would be fine for Jan 5/6.
