Hi folks,

I didn't think we'd be going to DLP this year but looks like we might be able to squeeze in another Halloween visit in October! :flower1: Not definite yet, but think I might get AP for us as Disney have a good room only rates which is a surprise.

I know I can get 15% shareholders discount and 20% family if buying 5 - but eldest DS won't be on this trip with us to get his so it means I'd need to do it by post.

Before I explore this, I found a site called Discount Ticket Store online offering Fantasy pass for £129.50 which seems a good price.

Has anyone used them? Or is there a cheap alternative to day tickets?

I won't be buying anything until the current offer on DLP site finishes on 17 August - just in case they bring on a flash sale or something.

thanks in advance :)

Something else I was thinking about.

I was going to go for Fantasy passes as we always do EMH - but we always also stay on site so am I correct in thinking that I will get EMH anyway and the only thing I need to think about are the blackout days?

I'm a shareholder so get the same discounts (more in fact for dining) with that than the Fantasy? We won't need the car park.

Is there anything else I'm missing or is Classic the best option for us?

You don't need to worry about the blackout days either if you're staying onsite. If you can order them by post in advance then I can't see why the cheapest one wouldn't be fine for you.

Actually, thinking about it, you might be better off getting a Dream pass for one person as you'll get a better room-only discount plus better discount on food and merchandise.

Thanks - didn't think about one of us getting the Dream Pass - I wonder which one of us it will be ;)

Will the family discount of 20% still apply or do all the passports need to be the same type?

I used Discount Ticket Store to buy our annual passport - it was only £120 each when I bought it last month so even more of a bargain! Brilliant service. I ordered on the Friday and they came on the Tuesday. I was a bit worried as it seemed so good to be true but had no problems at all. I even spoke to the guy on the phone as he hadn't enough tickets showing available on the website and he said that it wasn't his full time business, he and his family just loved Disney and he wanted to make it easy for people to buy tickets as it seemed so complicated to do it through the official channels. I was also reassured that it has his name and address on the website and it's been going a few years now. So I couldn't find anything to be concerned about (not that that stopped me worrying until we actually had our passports in hand!). (Oh and I used my credit card to pay for extra insurance from fraud!) I'm not really a worrier, honest!

Wow, that's a bargain Beerqueen!

Julie - I think you can still get family discount if you buy different passes (but not 100% sure). Great news you're going this year!

:wave:Hi Julie. I'm not on here much these days - spend more time on the facebook Disney groups. Glad to see you're going back. Hope everyone is doing well.

Yes, you can mix the types of pass and still get the 20% discount. People on facebook have reported doing that successfully.

There are some 60% discounts for Dream AP holders (the normal reduction is 35%) on Disney hotel rooms at present, up until the end of March. Not all nights in all hotels but I've heard people say reservation staff were helpful in finding them when asked. You do have to have the permanent pass to avail of this discount - they ask you for your pass number.

There's a big crowd of us going in November, mostly adults only, for a few days as a group meet. Really looking forward to it as I'll be meeting lots of people I know from the forums in person for the first time. There's another big group going in September for the half marathon weekend, Dhidra from DIS is running, but I can't make that one. Then I'm taking my son, his partner and grandson back again next January. Must try to visit DIS more often, feel like I've lost touch with people here.
