Hi,
I know that you can make a reservation for an AP resrot rate as long as you have the AP at check-in. I read that you get a voucher and then need to hand in the voucher for the actual AP. It said this is done at Guest Relations at the Parks and Downtown Disney. If this is the case, can you check in with the voucher or do you first have to go to a park to get the AP and then go to your resort to check-in? Thanks!
Chris

From Deb's AP page at http://wdwig.com/apass.htm:

Do I have to actually have an AP/PAP before I can call to get any special AP resort rates?

No you don't. You can call and book the rates without having the AP/PAP in hand. The policy about having it at the time of resort checkin is clear as mud. Some people have been allowed to obtain the rate at checkin with only their AP/PAP voucher. Others have been told to return to the resort front desk to show the desk CM after activating the pass. Still others have not been asked for any AP/PAP at all. The official Disney policy states an activated AP/PAP pass is needed at checkin. You may want to avoid any potential embarrassment at checkin by having an activated pass at that time.

We booked the room at the Poly under a child's AP before we had the pass or voucher. When we checked in they did not asked to see either of them.

They never asked to see either our postcard at CBR or the AP at the GF on out stay last month.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have.;)
