AP and reg ticket question

Ok, I hope this is the correct forum to ask this, and I hope I am phrasing my question correctly to avoid confusion. Going to disney world August 6th-13th. It was a last minute decision so we missed the 30% summer room discount. DH looked into AP discount. It appears that if he buys an AP we can get a room at a good discount and add the dining plan of we decide too. He will have his park tickets on his AP. What about the rest out our families tickets? Can we get them from the YES ( youth ed services) since we homeschool anyway, and take some classes and then " link" them to our AP room reservation? TIA

1. It is.
2. I assume you mean, "He will be using his AP for park admission."
3. You don't link tickets to your resort. You link tickets to your MyDisneyExperience account.
Your resort reservations will also be input to your MDE account.
All tickets can be accessed via MagicBands.
You can each have any kind of tickets that you like.
Only one needs to have an AP to book an "AP rate" room.

You can do it by phone- no need for a TA.
