AP and Photos

There will be 6 of us in our travel group. My daughter just set up our MDE account. Two of us are more than likely getting an AP. It includes a photo pass, I believe. Will the two of us use one photo account and will all the pictures all 6 of us take all week end up on that one photo pass? What pictures does this include during our WDW stay?

Sorry, I'm sure it's all been said before. Never had an AP or Magic Band or this Photo Pass.

The new APs have photopass included. The AP can see and download any and all pictures of everyone on their friends and family list. So whoever gets the AP, just make sure to link everyone to your friends and family and they can download everything. The ones without the APs will see the photos on their account, but it'll have watermarks and ask if they want to purchase. The AP's can download and then send them through text or email or however you choose

And it includes all pictures. Meet and greets, ride photos, ride videos (ToT and 7dmt), meal photos, any photos CM's take of you

We bought AP's last August on our trip to the world- before the change (which happened sept/oct) does this mean we have photo pass on our AP on MDE? At the min- when we go into our accounts it just gives the option to purchase?!
If we are entitled to it- how do we activate it? It would be nice to have but not essential as we've always done without before. We're back in the world next week!!

If you bought the AP before the change then I believe you don't have the photo pass included. If you wanted to have it included I think there is a way to upgrade the old APs to the new APs and you would pay the difference in cost between the old and new APs. This is what I remember reading on these boards back when the change happened.

Ah thanks-i thought it read somewhere that they were adding it to existing AP's by maybe that was just someone who got lucky with a CM in guest services?!
I may try anyway-doesn't hurt to ask-just wondered if someone had the 'official' line...

Any AP's before the new ones rolled out don't have the photopass option. However I've seen reports of people paying to upgrade their pass to the new pass for the option. Wanna say it was around $50. Also might depend on the CM you talk to. But no it's not a free upgrade that you just activate on the older AP's

I would add everyone to your friends and family list for everyone. That way it's easy to set everyone up with the same fast passes.

I'm able to view and download photos of connected friends that don't have annual passes.

Correct. Only the AP can download the photos. It doesn't extend to anyone else.

This is why the AP can link everyone to their friends and family list so the AP gets everyone photos..thus can download everyone's photos whether the AP is at the parks with them or not

You can download the photos and share them on a site like dropbox. It's easy.
