AP and MM?

Do you sacrifice Magic Mornings when you buy an annual pass? I think I probably know the answer, but it's a detail I hadn't thought of yet. We're traveling with family who will get one Early Entry with their three day+ tickets, and it is not the end of the world if we have to skip it, but I do like taking pictures in the quiet early hours before the crowds start becoming the background! Can anyone confirm this for me?

Unfortunately, yes. If you purchase an AP, you will not be eligible for Magic Morning.

If you are staying on-site, you would still be eligible for Extra Magic House (a perk of staying at the GCH, DLR, or PPH) because that does not depend on ticket-type.

You could buy a park hopper to match you family and take advantage of one MM, then upgrade the PH to an AP.

I don't know if you are getting new AP's just for this visit or not, but you can upgrade hoppers the day that has MM and they will still let you in.

However, I have found that MM at DL is overrated, especially for a 8 a.m. or later MM. (It's been along time since I've done a 7 a.m. MM so maybe it is still a good thing). We did better getting the Fantasyland rides in by doing rope drop at DL on a morning that didn't have it than we did on our MM.

No MM with the APs. We had PHs that we turned into APs and we have stayed at DLH a couple of times with the AP rate and I agree that the MM is not that big of a deal at DL. I feel it is better at DCA because you can ride TSM with little to no wait and then run over and do RSR single rider a couple of times before the lines are long. One MM at DCA, my son and I rode TSM 2-3 times and then RSR twice before park opening.

On our last visit we had park hoppers and other family members had APs. We lined up early one morning and they came with us not realizing they didn't get early morning. They just hopped out of line to get in once they realized and went and had a yummy breakfast at the bakery in Downtown Disney. Although I wonder if they could get reservations for Minnie or Ariels. We are going next week and have breakfast reservations an hour before the park opens. It is in DCA on a non extra hour for hotel guests morning though. I don't know how early the reservations are scheduled with MM.

Minnie's does breakfast during MM, typically it starts 10 minutes after MM. So if MM starts at 7, breakfast begins at 7:10. We did a breakfast one time during that hour, it was great. We were done just after 8 and were able to go meet Tink and friends with little wait.
