I know I've seen the answer to this before, but can't find it now.....

Can you get the dining plan if you have an AP but are staying at a Disney resort?

What if only some members of the group have an AP?

I am thinking of getting AP's for the kids and I as we are traveling to FL in June to help my grandparents travel back north. I was considering flying down a few days early and spending a little time at WDW.
We have a big family trip planned at Christmas time that will also include DH, but he won't have an AP.

I do know about Tables in Wonderland, but DH isn't a Disney person the way the rest of us are and having everything already paid for before we get there will definitely help him relax while there.

AP holders can do a ticketless room/dining combo. Not everyone needs to be an AP holder in the room.

You can purchase the DDP with an AP and a resort stay. You must purchase it for each person on the reservation, but you are not required to buy them tickets.

Thank-you for the quick responses!

Would there be any problem buying DH (and maybe DS18) a ticket if they need one?

The package (this is a ticketless package reservation, not a room only reservation) does not include tickets, so you can buy any type of tickets your party needs separate from the package.

can your room be booked through a third party such as orbitz?

You can't buy a resort package or a dining plan through a third party reseller like Orbitz. If you want a dining plan, you need to book directly through Disney, or have a travel agent book through Disney on your behalf.
