AP and DDP question

If I have an AP and book 2 rooms for 8 people, 7 with no AP, will we all be able to get the AP DDP or not?
Said another way: Do we all have to have the AP to get the DDP without tickets If one of us has the AP? Do they ask for everyones AP number?

Only one person in the room has to have an AP for everyone in the room to have DDP. Unfortunately Im pretty sure there has to be at least one adult in each room with an AP.

That's what I was thinking. I have read other AP-ers state only one room can be booked per adult AP, and the AP-er staying in the room. Can't speak from experience though.
