AP and DDE

I'm going to go in Dec and Jan. so I'm thinking of getting an Annual Pass. Does anyone know if I can order the annual pass activate it in Dec, but order the DDE card prior to activating? sorry if this doesn't make sense.

It makes sense . I was definitely able to do that last year and hopefully it's still the same policy. When I ordered the annual pass I got an exchange certificate with numbers on the back. I called DDE, gave them those numbers and they processed the DDE card.

Contact 407-566-5858 to ask them and have your AP exchange cert handy.

It takes a few weeks to get the card but if it looks like it's not gonna come in time they'll arrange for you to pick it up at Epcot guest services.

Wait a while before you order so you can maximise the card! If you order now it'll say Sept 2006 to Sept 2007 and who knows, you might get back to WDW again in Oct or Nov of 2007.

Oh and don't forget there are blackout dates (which I forgot about on July 4th last year ).

We just became DVC members in August. Ordered our discounted AP's on 8-24. The AP vouchers arrived on 9-1. Called DDE on 9-5 and gave them the numbers on the back of one voucher. DDE asked when we would be arriving, I advised 10-14, and DDE said expiration date would be set for 10-31-07. Going again in January, and will schedule Oct. 2007 trip for a week earlier than this year, to get 3 trips on same AP and DDE...... 34 days until F&W!!
