AP and DDE problem

I called MS today to get my AP and DDE card and they said I can get the AP but not the DDE! They said the DDE requires the number on the back of the AP and there is no way to get that to me before my arrival on May 10. They said I would have to pick up the AP at the will call window.

Does anyone know if the fax confirmation of the AP has the numbers needed for the DDE card?

Can anyone help me figure out how to get both the AP and DDE?

Since you are arriving on a Tuesday, the DDE office will be open. You can pickup your AP at will call and then call DDE (assuming it is before 5:00pm). They can send a temporary letter to Epcot guest services where you can pick it up.

My friend bought her AP by phone to MS and they give her a # (I'm not sure if it's a voucher # or AP #) and then she called DDE and they let her purchase with that number no problem.
I wonder if that policy differs between CMs.
But she managed to do that and she's at WDW now with her AP and DDE letter....

aarrggh!! I've been trying for 2 days and cannot get anyone at MS or anyone at the regular annual pass number to let me do this! The regualr number says I cannot buy the pass from them at all- that AP for DVC must be bought online only. Then when I call MS tells me I can buy the pass from them but there is no way to fax anything- I can oly pick it up at will call and by then it's too late to get DDE!

Does anyone have a person's name at MS who acutally did this for them? That way I can just ask for that person and hopefully clear this all up!

What I ended up doing and may not work for others was to have one AP sent to the house for the $3 mailing fee. I was able to get the DDE with the voucher numbers on the back of the green exchange card, not able to do this with the will call numbers I had for the other APs. I got the emailed DDE letter, which I now understand must be picked up at Guest Relations (to avoid document altering). Our letter worked fine during our April trip. I did make 5 photocopies before the trip, and stashed them in everybody's luggage in case I misplaced mine. (I didn't).
